From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Caddywhomper Way sign at the junction (bobcat)

Description

This junction is in L.L. "Stub" Stewart State Park. Caddywhomper Way leads off the Banks Vernonia State Trail and up an old logging track to a viewpoint. To the west is a railroad crossing sign: the Williams Creek Horseshoe Trail comes up from Williams Creek here.

"Caddywhomper" is a logger's term for a tree that is twisted and bent.
