At the junction: the Skookum Lake trail leads right into the trees; the barely discernible Baty Butte Trail leads left past the cut log and over the fallen tree (bobcat)

Description

This unsigned junction on the east side of a meadow does not look obvious at all. If you look left across the meadow, you may see some faded flagging that indicates where the trail picks up after being lost in the lush meadow. Once you've crossed the meadow, the Baty Butte Trail becomes more obvious and easier to follow.
