Welcome Lakes-Lower Welcome Lake Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Lower Welcome Lake before the 2010 fire (bobcat)

Description

This junction is unsigned and is sometimes marked by a small cairn of stones at a large noble fir. Drop down from here about 140 feet in elevation to the boggy shores of Lower Welcome Lake, once ringed by a shady forest of old growth, but now exposed and starkly fenced by blackened snags as a result of the 2010 View Lake Complex Fire.
