Hikes starting here

Driving Directions

There are many options for getting here depending on where you live. These directions are from downtown Portland.

Drive I-5 south and take Exit 291 for Carman Drive. After exiting, turn right on Upper Boones Ferry Road.

Go straight for 0.3 miles, and then turn left on Upper Boones Ferry Road, which here for a short stretch doubles as 72nd Avenue.

Keep straight for 0.3 miles, and then make a right onto Durham Road.

Keep on Durham Road for 0.6 miles before turning left onto S.W. 85th Avenue.

Park along 85th near the Clean Water Services Facility.

Alternatives to Driving

  • Tri-met Bus 76 stops near the intersection of SW Durham Road and SW Hall Boulevard. Hall turns into SW 85th south of the intersection. Walk down 85th Avenue about a third of a mile to access a paved trail leading into wetlands near Cook Park at the Thomas Dairy Trailhead.
