Summit Creek Footbridge

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Crossing the Summit Creek footbridge, Columbia Gorge (bobcat)

Description

This new footbridge across Summit Creek is just above the lip of Camp Benson Falls. Its main purpose is to allow powerline maintenance crews easy access to the slopes of Shellrock Mountain. Off-trail hikers use it for excursions to the Shellrock Mountain summit as well as nearby points like The Backbone and Summit Creek Falls.
