North Head Lighthouse

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Lighthouse, North Head (bobcat)
Keeper's House, North Head (bobcat)

Description

The North Head Lighthouse was put into commission in 1898 when it was decided that the location at North Head was needed to provide support to the lighthouse at Cape Disappointment. In addition to the lighthouse, you can see the Keeper's House and other buildings although you cannot approach them closely because these latter structures are available for rent to the public.

Bring binoculars to scope for seabirds, sealions, and gray whales. There are lighthouse tours, for a small fee, from May to September.
