North Coldspring Gully Crossing

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

In the Coldspring Gully, Loowit Trail (bobcat)

Description

This branch of Coldspring Creek has repeatedly gouged and regouged its unstable gully to the extent that the Loowit Trail has been redesigned so that you have to drop half a mile to cross the rubble-filled ravine and then return another half-mile to timberline. The actually site of the crossing itself may change from year to year.
