Lemei-Wapiki Lake Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Sign for Lake Wapiki posted on a mountain hemlock (bobcat)

Description

The short spur trail #34A leads off the Lemei Trail #34 here for half a mile to reach Lake Wapiki. The Lemei Trail continues a steeper rise with several viewpoints of the lake, Mount Adams, and Mount Rainier to reach a bench below Lemei Rock.

Note that the junction was moved in 2017. Coming from the trailhead, you will veer left at the decommissioned old junction and find the new junction about 1/8 mile up the trail towards Lake Wapiki.
