  • Display your Discover Pass if you have one. There has been a citation for the Discover Pass issued here, but this is a PacifiCorp trail. The citation was voided in court, but it's better to display the pass just to save yourself the trouble.

Driving Directions

Drive I-5 north, and take Exit 21 for Woodland, Cougar, and Highway 503E.

After exiting, turn right on Highway 503E in Woodland, and proceed 0.8 miles to a roundabout.

Bear right here on the Lower Lewis River Road for Cougar, and drive 22.4 miles to the junction of Highway 503 with the 503 Spur.

Keep straight here on the latter highway for Cougar, and continue another 8.4 miles, passing through the town of Cougar.

Turn right after passing below the dam for the Swift Number Two Forebay, and then make another immediate right (If you reach the Skamania County line, you’ve gone too far.).

Drive 0.3 miles, crossing a bridge over the Lewis River, and reach a junction.

Stay right here, and go 0.1 miles to a gate. Park on the right side of the road, and do not block the gate.
