Horsetail Falls-Gorge Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The Gorge Trail heading east from the junction (bobcat)
The former sign, which was burned during the Eagle Creek Fire (Steve Hart)

Description

The Gorge Trail is a mishmash of older existing trails and newer construction designed to create a continuous path at near river level. Here the Gorge Trail leaves the Horsetail Falls Trail and heads east toward Ainsworth State Park and the Dodson Trailhead. The sign was burned during the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire and has not been replaced (as of Spring 2021).
