Hog Island Viewpoint

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

View to Hog Island from just off Old River Road (bobcat)

Description

A short spur from the Willamette River Greenway off Old River Road leads to this grassy viewpoint atop a layer of lava. You can look across to riverfront homes in Oak Grove and upstream to forested Hog Island.

The island itself belongs to Clackamas County and you can visit (via kayak or canoe) but cannot camp overnight.
