Description

Lewis' Monkeyflower grows near small streams in alpine meadows. It's common near most of our mountain peaks.

Tips on identifying species of Monkeyflower

Monkeyflowers are a genus of quite varied looking plants. The leaves can be so different that they don't look related at all. Blossoms come in shades of pink or yellow. The flowers of all varieties have five petals. The two upper petals are often smaller than the lower three and spots on the lower petals are very common.
