Hikes starting here

Driving Directions

From downtown Portland, drive Highway 26 west.

Then take Exit 69A for Highway 217, Beaverton and Tigard.

From Highway 217, take Exit 2A for Highway 8 and Canyon Road.

After exiting, turn right onto Highway 10 (Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, which becomes Farmington Road), and proceed 10.5 miles through Beaverton and Farmington.

Turn right onto Highway 219 for Hillsboro, and go 0.7 miles.

Then make a left onto SW Unger Road, and follow this narrow road for 3.0 miles through the countryside.

Turn left onto SW Dixon Mill Road, and continue 2.4 miles (after 1.6 miles the road becomes good gravel).

Turn right into the large parking area for Chehalem Ridge Nature Park.

Other Notes

  • Open 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • No dogs permitted
  • Restrooms, picnic area, information kiosk
  • Share some trails with mountain bikes and horses
