Driving Directions
From Burns:
From the center of Burns at Broadway and Monroe Street (Highway 78), continue east for 1.7 miles.
Make a right turn onto Highway 205 for Frenchglen and Denio, and drive south for 59 miles into Frenchglen.
From Frenchglen, you’ll continue another 10.0 miles before turning left for the Upper Blitzen River and South Steens Campground.
Drive this gravel road for 19.2 miles, and turn right into the family camping section of the South Steens Campground (This is just past the equestrian camp and the [[Little Blitzen Trailhead.).
Keep right as you drive through the campground to reach the parking area at its far end. Do not block parking for Campsite #22, which is also here.
