Helping Out

The Portland Hikers Wiki welcomes your help, but we require that you get to know how things work before you contribute. This means checking out the wiki, learning the basics of MediaWiki and also learning the schema and guidelines that are specific to this wiki.

For general guidance in editing a wiki, the Wikipedia help pages, or the Wikipedia Tutorial are great places to start. Look at those and then practice editing at the Sandbox.

For articles specifically geared toward Portland Hikers, take a close look at the Help and Guideline pages. These are required reading for anyone who wants to help out with the wiki.
