Fees and Regulations

  • Northwest Forest Pass (or America the Beautiful Pass) required
  • Restrooms, picnic table
  • $3 toll each way at the Bridge of the Gods

Driving Directions

Drive I-84 east to Exit 44 for Cascade Locks and Stevenson.

After exiting the freeway, go 0.4 miles and turn right for the Bridge of the Gods Toll Bridge and Stevenson.

Drive 0.7 miles, paying the toll and crossing the Bridge of the Gods, to the junction with Washington Highway 14.

Turn right here for Stevenson and Kennewick, and go 5.9 miles to a roundabout.

Bear left for Carson on the Wind River Road, and proceed 8.7 miles to Stabler-Hemlock.

Turn left onto Hemlock Road for the Wind River Work Center, and drive 1.3 miles.

Bear right onto FR 43, passing the Hemlock Lake Recreation Area, and proceed 0.6 miles to the junction with the FR 417 spur.

Turn right here, and drive 0.3 miles, making a sharp bend to the left in the process.

Turn right into the parking area for the Whistle Punk Trail #59.
