Driving Directions

From Highway 101 North:

Turn right on Virginia Avenue in North Bend, and proceed 0.8 miles.

Then make a left onto Broadway Avenue, and travel south for 0.9 miles.

Bear right for Charleston and State Parks to join Newmark Street. Drive west on Newmark for 0.9 miles, and just past a traffic light, turn right onto Hull Street for John Topits Park.

Go 0.2 miles, keeping left at the first parking area, to reach parking at Upper Empire Lake.

From Highway 101 South:

Coming from the south, turn left onto Commercial Avenue for Charleston and State Parks, and go 0.3 miles.

Turn left for one block on 7th Street.

Then turn right onto Central Avenue and go 0.4 miles.

Central Avenue converts to Ocean Boulevard, which you’ll follow for 2.2 miles.

Make a right onto Laclair Street, and go 0.3 miles.

When you reach Newmark Street, turn left at the traffic light.

Turn right onto Hull Street (the next street on the right) for John Topits Park, and go 0.2 miles, keeping left at the first parking area, to reach parking at Upper Empire Lake.
