Herman Creek Forks

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Campsite at the Forks of Herman Creek (bobcat)

Description

The West Fork and East Fork of Herman Creek come together here. A 0.3 mile spur trail leads down from Casey Creek Camp to the forks. This is the last vestige of the West Fork Herman Creek Trail #407, which once involved a ford of the forks and then headed up the West Fork valley. Only a few slivers of that trail have been found. In addition, the trail down to the confluence from Casey Creek Camp has been difficult to locate since the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire. The tread is faint at best and is much obscured by deadfall and debris. There is a campsite down by the forks.
