Description

Tansey Ragwort is a European native that has become very common in our area. The foliage is poisonous to horses and cattle. Tansy is classified as a Class B Noxious Weed in the State of Washington and landowners are required to control infestations. Cinnabar moths were introduced from Europe as a control measure in the 1970s and the black and orange caterpillars are now a common site.
