Description
This viewpoint, at the northern end of the Chenoweth Rim and above the locally-known Eagle Caves, offers views to Sevenmile Hill, Crates Point, and Foley Lakes as well as east to the Columbia Hills. The city of The Dalles spreads below.
The sediments/conglomerates of these cliffs were laid down as the bed of a Pliocene lake well after the Columbia River Basalt Flows of 15-16 million years ago.
