Big Hollow Trailhead

Driving Directions

Drive I-84 east to Exit 44 for Cascade Locks and Stevenson.

After exiting the freeway, go 0.4 miles and turn right for the Bridge of the Gods Toll Bridge and Stevenson.

Drive 0.7 miles, paying the $3 toll and crossing the Bridge of the Gods, to the junction with Washington Highway 14.

Turn right here for Stevenson and Kennewick, and go 5.9 miles to a roundabout.

Bear left for Carson on the Wind River Road, and proceed 14.6 miles.

Make a sharp right where the Wind River Road meets Mineral Springs Road, and continue 2.1 miles before turning left onto Dry Creek Road (FR 64).

Drive up this paved road, which has many sunken spots, for 2.2 miles and pull of to the right opposite the Big Hollow Trailhead.

Note: Road access to this trailhead is possible from about mid-spring to mid-fall, depending on snow conditions: FR 64 (Dry Creek Road) is gated during the closure months.
