From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Revision as of 20:50, 14 May 2019 by Bobcat (Talk | contribs)

Just downstream from the crossing are some beautiful creek scenes"(Jamey Pyles)"

Description

Perham Creek is a beautiful steam in the eastern Columbia Gorge in the Wygant Peak area. Two trails cross Perham Creek - the Wygant Trail and the abandoned Chetwoot Loop Trail. This the is upper, bridgeless crossing, where the Chetwoot Loop Trail crosses the creek.

To reach the crossing nowadays would require negotiating steep slopes where the trail has slid away, burrowing through brush, and a full-on bathing experience in poison oak.
