Driving Directions
Drive I-84 east to Exit 44 for Cascade Locks and Stevenson.
After exiting, go 0.4 miles and make a right for the Bridge of the Gods Toll Bridge and Stevenson.
Drive 0.8 miles, paying the $2 toll and crossing the bridge. At the intersection with Highway 14, turn right for Stevenson and Kennewick.
Drive 6.0 miles and turn left at a roundabout for Carson and the Wind River Recreation Area. This is the Wind River Road.
Drive for 14.5 miles, passing through Carson and make a sharp right to continue on the Wind River Road.
From this bend, wind up for another 13.2 miles and make a left on the Curly Creek Road for FR 90, the Lewis River, Ape Cave and Windy Ridge.
Descend 5.1 miles on this road to the intersection with FR 90. Go right here for the Upper Lewis River.
Drive 10.1 miles, crossing the Lewis River and turn right for the Lower Falls Recreation Area.
After 0.1 miles, turn right for the day use area and keep right to drive around the parking circle and find a spot to park.
