Driving Directions

From Burns:

From the center of Burns at Broadway and Monroe Street (Highway 78), continue east for 1.7 miles.

Make a right turn onto Highway 205 for Frenchglen and Denio, and drive south for 59 miles into Frenchglen.

From Frenchglen, you’ll continue another 10.0 miles before turning left for the Upper Blitzen River and South Steens Campground.

Drive this gravel road for 19.2 miles, and pull into the Little Blitzen Trailhead on the right. (This is between the equestrian camp and family camping areas of the South Steens Campground.)
