Driving Directions
The Falls Creek Falls hike starts here, northeast of Carson, Washington. To get here from Portland, take I-84 east to the Bridge of the Gods, Exit 44. Take the bridge (1 dollar toll) across to Washington, and turn right on Highway 14 heading east through Stevenson. About 5 miles east of Stevenson, at a sign labeled for Carson, turn left onto Highway 30 (Wind River Road). Follow 30 north 15 miles, then turn right onto Road 3062, a well-maintained gravel road, for Falls Creek. Follow 3062 for two miles to a split in the road. Fork right here; the road ends at the Lower Falls Creek Falls trailhead in 1/2 a mile.
Other Notes
While this trailhead may be accessible during mild winters, a gate on the 3062 road indicates that it is closed from Dec 1st- April 1st. The gate is located 1 1/2 miles from the trailhead.
This trailhead is also used infrequently by equestrians. Horses are allowed on the Upper Falls Creek Trail only.
