Driving Directions

From Portland, drive south on I-5 to Salem. Head east in Highway 22 to Detroit. Turn on to Breitenbush Road #46. Drive four and a half miles to FS Road 4696, where you'll turn left. After 0.7 miles, turn left again, on to FS Road 4697. Follow FS Road 4697 for 9 and a half miles, then turn left on to a side road. The camping area is about a half mile ahead.

Other Notes

The last two miles of road is not maintained. It's very rough and rocky and not recommended for normal cars.
