Fees and Regulations
- A Northwest Forest Pass is needed to park here. One can be purchased on the drive from Hood River at the Ranger Station in Parkdale.
Driving Directions
Via Hood River:
Drive I-84 east to Exit 64 for Highway 35, White Salmon, and Government Camp.
Make a right after exiting and then another right and drive 0.3 miles to a four-way intersection.
Keep straight here on Highway 35 for Odell, Parkdale and Mt. Hood. Drive 18.7 miles to a pullout on the left for the Dog River Trailhead.
This is just past MP 78 and just before 35 crosses the East Fork of the Hood River.
