Driving Directions
Driving I-205, take Exit 12A for Highways 224 and 212, Clackamas and Estacada.
From the first traffic light, drive 3.3 miles and bear right for Highway 224E, Carver, and Estacada.
Drive 15.3 miles on Highway 224. After passing through Estacada, keep straight for North Fork Lake at the junction with Highway 211 (Molalla).
Drive another 25.7 miles, passing the Ripplebrook Ranger Station and then the campground. After crossing the Oak Grove Fork, bear right on FR 46 for Detroit and Bagby Hot Springs.
Drive 3.6 miles and turn right onto FR 63 for Bagby Hot Springs.
Keep to 63 for 5.7 miles, and then turn right onto FR 6340 for the Dickey Creek Trail, Bull of the Woods Trail, and Pansy Basin Trail.
Head up on this gravel road for 2.7 miles. After passing Member Rock, turn left for the Dickey Creek Trail #553 on the FR 140 spur.
Drive 1.1 to a fork in the road and the new trailhead parking area.
Other Notes
This trailhead is about 0.5 miles from the original trailhead. The road in between, which was decommissioned in 2011, has been plowed up but you need to use it to access the old trailhead, which is where the Wilderness Permit box is.
