  • Trail closed 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Driving Directions

Drive Highway 26 west. From where the I-217 entrance joins Highway 26, it’s 68.9 miles to where the highway splits to join Highway 101.

Bear right here for Seaside and Astoria and, in 0.4 miles, merge with Highway 101 north.

Drive north on 101 for 18.9 miles, crossing the Youngs Bay Bridge and reaching a roundabout.

Go right here to follow Highway 202 along the Youngs River. After 1.3 miles, keep straight on Highway 202 for Jewel and Vernonia.

Drive another 2.8 miles on 202 and turn left up a gravel road for the Astoria District Demonstration Forest and Hiking Trail. Park at the trailhead parking area.
