Wahclella Falls

I finally did it after months of living here and got out today and hiked

I used that field guide thing and went to wahclella falls and it was heckasweet.  good call!

 

it's not that long but very pretty.  great weather today but it started to cloud up as i got back 2 to the car.

Ok so now that i got my feet wet, what next?

Great! one small step for mankind!  Hope you've got you've got the "bug" now!  Angel's Rest is an obvious next one to try....

It was a great day to get out...I swear it hit 70 today, but I haven't seen the weather yet.  Had the kids out at the park all day in shorts and a t-shirt. 

BTW: ferris, I love that avatar!

Here's a website I found of someone trying to capture Seurat's Sunday Afternoon on La Grande Jatte in a modern photo...Me thinks some people need to spend more time hiking!

Ferris,

My wife & I also hiked Wahclella Falls yesterday and I must say it was awsome.  My wife recently had surgery, so I wanted to start her out on a shorter hike.  Wahclella Falls was a perfect break in hike for the wife.  Kacey really enjoyed herself as well. 

As Jeff has mentioned Angles Rest is a great hike.  Stunning views of the gorge.
