Driving Directions
Drive I-84 east, and take Exit 64 for Highway 35, White Salmon and Government Camp.
Turn left after exiting onto Button Bridge Road, and cross the Hood River Bridge (paying the $1 toll), driving 1.2 miles to the junction with Highway 14 on the Washington side.
Turn left for Stevenson and Vancouver, and proceed 1.5 miles to make a right turn onto Highway 141 Alt. for Trout Lake and the Mt. Adams Recreation Area.
Go 2.2 miles up to the junction with Highway 141N, and turn left here for BZ Corner, Trout Lake, and Glenwood.
It’s 19.2 miles to Trout Lake, where you bear right on FR 23 for Randle and the Mt. Adams Recreation Area.
After 1.3 miles, go left on FR 23 for Randle.
Drive 12.9 miles and make a right turn onto FR 521 for Pacific Crest Trail Trailhead Parking.
It’s 0.4 miles up this rutted road to the parking area at the Williams Mine Trailhead on your left.
