Vineyard Mountain

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

George Peavy Cabin chimney, Vineyard Mountain (bobcat)

Description

Vineyard Mountain hosts a communications tower at its summit and views are limited and to the east over the Willamette Valley. In the summit area, you’ll also find the remains of the Dean George Peavy Cabin from the 1930s. Only a concrete foundation and stone chimney remain. George Peavy was Dean of the Oregon State University School of Forestry.
