Description
Ponytail Falls is a stunning location, but it can be really busy. Here's a different viewpoint, not as dramatic, but you'll be the only person there. The creek flows over and around mossy rocks and the entire mood is relaxing.
To get here, backtrack on the Horsetail Falls Trail from the base of Ponytail Falls. Find the start of the Rock of Ages Trail, just about where the main trail curves around the point. Head up the rough Rock of Ages Trail about 1/10 of a mile to a junction. Head down the steep trail to the right about 100 yards to the creek and you're there.
