The lookout site on Old Baldy (bobcat)

Description

Old Baldy is a prominence on the ridge between Eagle Creek and the South Fork Eagle Creek. There was once a lookout here, but it was demolished in the early 1960s. Since then, conifers have grown up to obscure any views. A thicket of Scouler's willow has colonized the summit.

Fires ripped through this area more than 100 years ago and exposed the peak, thus giving it a name that no longer holds true.
