Driving Directions

From Southwest Portland and Beaverton:

Driving north on Highway 217, take Exit 2A for Beaverton and Canyon Road.

At the Stop sign on Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, go straight for Canyon Road and Hillsboro. Drive 0.2 miles, and go left onto Highway 8 (S.W. Canyon Road) for Hillsboro.

Drive 9.8 miles through Aloha and into the center of Hillsboro.

Turn left on S.E. Baseline Street and, 0.3 miles later, go left on S. First Avenue (Highway 219) for Scholls and Newberg.

It’s another 1.4 miles until you make a left turn for the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Center and Clean Water Services. After making the turn, bear right into the parking area for the Wetland Center.

From downtown Portland:

Take Sunset Highway (Hwy. 26) approximately 15 miles west of downtown Portland. Turn off at Exit 57 (Glencoe Road).

Turn left onto Glencoe Road and drive south about 4.6 miles. Glencoe Road changes names to First Street, Highway 219 and Hillsboro Highway. This route will take you into Hillsboro.

After the intersection with S.E. baseline Street, it’s another 1.4 miles until you make a left turn for the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Center and Clean Water Services. After making the turn, bear right into the parking area for the Wetland Center.

Other Notes

  • Lower trails can be inaccessible at times of high water (especially in the spring)
  • Trails open dawn to dusk; Wetlands Education Center open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
  • Restrooms, picnic tables and viewing blinds
  • Dogs not permitted
  • Bicycles not permitted
