Just east of Multnomah Falls on the Gorge Trail #400 is a very large, rocky slope. Somewhere in this thing, rumored to be on the east side, is what passes for a trail. If you've got good legs, good boots, long pants and a lot of patience for switchbacks, go for it! | Just east of Multnomah Falls on the Gorge Trail #400 is a very large, rocky slope. Description
You might expect an elevator shaft to go up a long way. You wouldn't really expect a finished floor or fancy signs pointing out which way to go. It might also be something one could fall down. Add quite a bit of poison oak and you understand this elevator shaft down to a T.
Just east of Multnomah Falls on the Gorge Trail #400 is a very large, rocky slope. Somewhere in this thing, rumored to be on the east side, is what passes for a trail. If you've got good legs, good boots, long pants and a lot of patience for switchbacks, go for it!
