Had a rare Monday off! That meant it was time for the best road in the entire state: 242 / McKenzie Pass.. after making a few time trial runs up and down (yes some of us still LOVE cars/cornering/going fast!), it was time for my fave waterfall!
Proxy falls is the perfect amount of water flow vs area + green moss compared to fairy falls and ramona falls... it's like both combined:
Off to Scott Lake:
From Scott Lake, it's about 4.4 miles to Scott Mt. summit.... I didn't make any stops at any of the lakes as the mosquitos were def. onto this beer drinking fool!!!
A look to the north:
More Zoom!!!
Looking west:
Summit Marker:
Looking back down to Benson Lake:

I've never heard of Proxy Falls, but those photos are beautiful. It's definitely on my list now.

You're able to drive fast on 242??? All I ever get is stuck behind a huge van/Harley/Prius.
Great pics.

Highway 242 is definitely scenic, but I get carsick just thinking about driving that road.markesc wrote:after making a few time trial runs up and down (yes some of us still LOVE cars/cornering/going fast!), it was time for my fave waterfall!
Proxy Falls, though, is definitely worth it. One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state, if not THE most beautiful.

Never been to Proxy Falls. The closest we've been is Linton Lake. We are planning a trip back to the area later this month and we'll need to see if we can work this in.
Thanks,

I want half of my ashes to be scattered at Proxy Falls.
