Broken Top TH Road

So just how rough is the road to Broken Top TH once past Todd Lake day use area? It is described as "very rough and requires high-clearance AWD or 4WD vehicle".

Edit: William Sullivan describes it as "This may be the worst road you've ever seen, with giant ruts that slow 4-wheel drive rigs to a crawl"

Could a standard Subaru Outback handle it?

I did it about five years ago in a Honda CR-V so, yes, an Outback should be able to do it - slowly. As you know, it's very popular, and the parking lot was full of similar vehicles, including Subarus. It will be much worse when wet, though.
