Cascade Head 4-11-15

Post by kmcdade » April 12th, 2015, 6:01 pm

I've trip-reported this one before, so I'll just say that it was VERY muddy, and it was fairly crowded, so the mud was pretty well-churned. The view, as always, was outstanding.

Mmm…. well-churned mud! Sounds like a typical coastal trail..!

I have never been on that hike in all these years… gotta get down there! But I'll need to pick a weekday, by the sound of it.

Thanks for posting, Kathleen!

Tom :-)

Looks like it was a decent day, though - overcast but expansive views!

Hi! We were there on Saturday as well. We had never been and really loved it. I suspect we ran into you on your way down. We were late getting started since I had to work some on Saturday morning so we met a LOT of people on their way down! :)

It was beautiful up there for the first 15 minutes or so after we left the forest and started climbing the exposed sections of the trail - though of course I didn't get my camera out of my bag until the sun went back behind the clouds.
