I've trip-reported this one before, so I'll just say that it was VERY muddy, and it was fairly crowded, so the mud was pretty well-churned. The view, as always, was outstanding.

Mmm…. well-churned mud! Sounds like a typical coastal trail..!
I have never been on that hike in all these years… gotta get down there! But I'll need to pick a weekday, by the sound of it.

Hi! We were there on Saturday as well. We had never been and really loved it. I suspect we ran into you on your way down. We were late getting started since I had to work some on Saturday morning so we met a LOT of people on their way down!
It was beautiful up there for the first 15 minutes or so after we left the forest and started climbing the exposed sections of the trail - though of course I didn't get my camera out of my bag until the sun went back behind the clouds.
