224 through to 26?

Post by goingrouge » April 17th, 2015, 2:39 pm

Can I access HWY 26 just East of the HWY 35 junction, by going up 224 to Hwy ???, Timothy Lake, etc? I know you can in Summer easily, but are there gates now? Snowpack?

Thanks. I will try calling too, though better info is usually realized herein.

Seems like 224>>57>>42 is open, according to this link.

Prior to a week or so ago, I would have said it would have been easily passable - due to the low elevation recent snow, I would no longer be so optimistic. If the FS posted it is open, that is reasonably good info, although they have been known to post incorrect info before.

After this weeks warm weather I would certainly think it should be open barring more late season low elevation snowfall.
