In the Hood River News today. The 2.5 mile Mosier Plateau/Pocket Park Trail debuts this Friday with a tour that leaves from the Grand Central Coffee Station at 2.30pm.
Sounds like it will be a great out and back wildflower hike next spring, somewhere to go when you don't have much time. Of course, in the fall and winter it should be a great place to go to Eagle watch, there are so many of them in the Mosier area. There isn't a trailhead. Parking will be at the Totem Pole and a short walk will take you to Pocket Park where the trail starts. If I hadn't just returned to work I'd go Friday and check it out. Hopefully someone who lives at this end of the gorge will do so and give us the lowdown.
