My memory has mountain goats on that peak..... not allowed to camp on Ararat but has spectacular views especially at sunset and sunrise...thanks for great pics of your adventure

Guessing Mt. Ararat is too close to the Kautz Creek trail, hence the prohibition? The backcountry regs up there stipulate that one must be 0.25mi away from any trail or road. Were it legal, that looks like it'd be in zone XTAH.

Mandrake - Just saw this TR and it sure looks tempting! I have bookmarked it and hope to go one day. Thank you!
Some people are really fit at eighty; thankfully I still have many years to get into shape…

I had never heard of Pyramid Peak and certainly never seen pictures from that area of the park! Great!
