Re: Wygant-Chetwoot Trail loop... totally destroyed
Wish I would have seen the trip report. A lesson learned to check first. Headed up to Wygant Peak yesterday and made it past the power lines and switchbacks hoping that eventually the trail would get better. It was only getting worse and my dog no longer wanted to keep going since we were primarily ...

Snow ? Mt St. Helens
Hi,
Has anyone been up to Mt. St. Helens recently? Last weeks update stated 2-4' snow at timberline. I'm going next week with teenage son/his girlfriend and am wondering about the conditions and changes to consider since the last time I went in August it was dry and beautiful. Any suggestions?

I thought it was the rock road and kept going and eventually decided to go up to Nesmith Point. On the way back I noticed a grassy road going up the hill at the Moffett Creek overpass. Was ...

Re: Hiking with a dog
Thanks for the input. I guess it is the hikes that have the scrambling that I will have to look out for her. I have to mention there was only one dog on a leash the 3 hours we were at Dog Mountain today.

Hiking with a dog
I understand that some trails may not be dog friendly but are there any suggestions of hikes that are absolutely not for a dog.
