Driving Directions
Drive I-84 east to Exit 64 for Highway 35, White Salmon, and Government Camp.
At the Stop sign after exiting, go left on Button Bridge Road for Bingen and White Salmon and drive 1.1 miles over the Hood River Bridge after paying the toll.
Turn left onto Highway 14W for Stevenson and Vancouver and drive 1.6 miles.
Then turn right onto Highway 141 Alt for Trout Lake and the Mt. Adams Recreation Area.
Wind up along the White Salmon for 2.2 miles and turn left onto Highway 141 for BZ Corner, Trout Lake, and Glenwood.
It’s 19.3 miles to the village of Trout Lake. Bear left here at the Y intersection to keep on Highway 141.
Drive 7.3 miles into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, where the road, still paved, becomes FR 24. Turn left onto the 041 spur for the Natural Bridges and McClellan’s Trail.
Go 0.5 miles on a wide gravel road to the junction with the FR 050 spur.
Turn right here and drive 0.3 miles. Park in the pullout on the left.
