Mount Hood and Yocum Ridge from the end of the Yocum Ridge Trail

Contents

Hikes starting here

Description

Viewpoint on the trail leading up to McNeil Ridge

The official Yocum Ridge Trail ends at mile 8.6, but you can continue another mile up a trail just as good as the official trail. There's a knowl with a spot you could sleep, but just barely. About 0.2 miles further is a nice campsite. You shouldn't find too many people here.

You get great views to the North, including the viewpoint on the trail going up to McNeil Ridge. You can barely see the large rock next to the trail at the viewpoint
