Wygant Meadow

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Revision as of 16:39, 14 May 2019 by Bobcat (Talk | contribs)

A small cairn marks the summit of viewless Wygant Peak (bobcat)

Description

From this meadow on the southwest slope of Wygant Peak, you'll get views west across forested Viento Creek to the summit of Viento Ridge and Mount Defiance. Indian Point can also be distinguished high above the river. Table Mountain and Greenleaf Peak are visible on the Washington side of the Columbia. The meadow blooms with showy phlox, chickweed, desert-parsley, wild strawberry, and chocolate lily in the spring.
