The Upper Oneonta Trailhead (Steve Hart)

Through hikes

Driving Directions

Drive I-84 east and take Exit 22 for Corbett.

At the Stop sign, turn right for Corbett, the Vista House, and the View Point Inn.

Head up on Corbett Hill Road for 1.3 miles.

At a junction go left and then left again onto Historic Highway 30 for the Vista House, View Point Inn, and Multnomah Falls.

Drive 2.1 miles and bear right on Larch Mountain Road.

It’s 13.8 miles up this road to a sharp bend where the Oneonta Trail comes in. There are pullouts on the left (before the trail) or on the right (just around the bend).

  • This trailhead is typically closed most of the winter and the road is gated halfway down the mountain.
