Drive from Portland or Corbett eastward on the Historic Columbia River Highway to just past the Women's Forum Overlook. At mile 22.9, turn right on Larch Mountain Road and drive 14.1 miles to the trailhead. The trailhead is not well marked. Look for a gap in the highway guardrail on a sharp left, hairpin turn just past mile marker 14.
