Driving Directions
From I-5, take Exit 30 at Medford, then west on Hwy 230 through Jacksonville to the small community of Applegate. Just over the green steel bridge, south (left) on Thompson creek Road Road for 11.9 miles of pavement and another 2.8 miles of good gravel. Then turn right (west) over a bridge - look for "Steve Fork Trail" signs - then immediately fork left (south) onto FR 1030 for 11 miles of good gravel (clearance generally good for sedans) to a large parking area at road's end. No amenities at trailhead. You can also reach this trailhead from Grants Pass by taking Hwy 199 west to its junction with Hwy 230 and then taking Hwy 230 south to just before the green bridge.
