Driving Directions

Drive I-84 east and take Exit 44 for Cascade Locks and Stevenson.

From the freeway, go 0.4 miles before turning right for Stevenson and the Bridge of the Gods Toll Bridge.

Drive 0.8 miles, crossing the Columbia River on the Bridge of the Gods and paying the $2 toll.

At the junction on the Washington side, turn right onto Highway 14 for Stevenson and Kennewick, and go 5.9 miles before turning left at a roundabout onto the Wind River Road for Carson.

Drive 14.6 miles, passing through Carson, and make a sharp right on the Wind River Road at its junction with Mineral Springs Road.

Wind up for another 13.2 miles before turning left onto Curly Creek Road for FR 90, the Lewis River, Mt. St. Helens, Ape Cave, and Windy Ridge.

Descend 5.2 miles and turn right at the T-junction with FR 90 for the Upper Lewis River.

Keep driving on paved FR 90 for 5.2 miles and pull off to the left at a signboard for the Speed Trail #31E.
